  Nov 6, 2006, Chief Warrant Officer John R. Priestner, 42, assigned to A Company, 1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade died in a crash of an AH-64D Longbow Apache northwest of Baghdad.  
 
  Oct 11, 2006, CW2 Scott W. Dyer, 38, an assistant detachment commander, assigned to 3rd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group, died from injuries sustained in support of combat operations in Southern Afghanistan.  
 
  Feb 9, 2005, Capt. Gilbert A. Munoz, 29, a Special Forces detachment commander assigned to 3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) died after he experienced systemic organ failure due to the infection shortly after returning from duty in Iraq.  
 
  Mar 20, 2004, Lt Col Mark D. Taylor, 41, an Army Surgeon assigned to the 782nd Main Support Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division, died in Fallujah, Iraq, when his living area came under a rocket attack.
